Calvin Klein created a new version of their signature fragrance, Obsession which originally debuted in 1985 will be re-released in July 2017 as Obsessed. Raf Simons, creative director of Calvin Klein decided to reach back into the past from the fragrance's first campaign to reveal never before seen footage from 1993.

The 1993 Obsession tells a love story between two young lovers Kate Moss, 18 and Mario Sorrenti, 20 at the time that venture to the Virgin Islands. The 2017 campaign showcases Sorrenti's nostalgia of their relationship,"There was nothing, you know, no worries. We had nothing; we had nothing to lose, you know what I mean? Those were good times." Sorrenti recounts his profound love for Moss or what some might consider, his obsession.

Calvin Klein's Obsessed ad campaign is a refreshing take on traditional fragrance ads because it shows real emotion between two real former lovers. This ad campaign shows that creative director's don't need grandiose productions to garner attention because genuine raw emotion works just as well, if not better.
